Yamaha artist Jeff Schroeder shares his musical journey from a childhood obsession with KISS to joining one of the biggest rock bands of all time as a guitarist in The Smashing Pumpkins. Jeff explains how he first came to play the guitar, talks through the musical projects and detours which brought him to where he is today, and the story of his custom Yamaha Pacifica guitars. “These custom-made Pacificas that I’m playing now really are the culmination of many years of recording, touring, playing different guitars, and trying to put as much of that knowledge and information into one guitar that I can play for most of the night. The guitar at its purest point should just be a vehicle for your inner voice coming out through it and an expression. I’ve never found an instrument that’s allowed me to play like me more” reveals Jeff. This is part one of a two-part series.
